We sampled some of the most popular dishes, conveniently highlighted on the menu. Berry Street was clearly the victim of the right concept in the wrong building. Built from the ground up, Parker County Ice House allows Trident (which also opened Wishbone & Flynt in the South Main area of Fort Worth) to be in full control. Rishel says if it takes off, he and his business partners, whom Rishel credits with landing this concept in Aledo, may explore opening additional locations elsewhere.

The family friendly venue will host sports and live music, with its sound system installed and its newly fenced back yard. One of Fort Worth's best modern Italian restaurants has closed. Tre Mogli Cucina Italiana, the high-end Italian restaurant opened last year by local chef Stefon Rishel and his Trident Restaurant Group, has served its last plate of pasta, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. Another Trident restaurant, Parker County Ice House, located in Aledo, has also closed.

With any luck, their take on eggs Benedict will be as delightful as their grilled cheese. The Ice House features a large patio connected to an outdoor entertainment venue, creating a relaxed atmosphere for patrons. Live entertainment, available on a predetermined schedule, sometimes requires a cover charge, depending on the performing talent. The outdoor patio is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly, with some restrictions in place.

“The emphasis really is on family friendly,” Trident principal Kyle Bryson tells PaperCity. The inside of Berry St. Ice House can accommodate up to 80 people and the expansive back lawn can easily welcome 200 or more. The trio of Stefon Rishel, who serves as executive chef, and his two business partners, Kyle Bryson and Wallace Owens, formed Trident Restaurant Group in 2017.

“We’ve just hired a general manager for Berry St. Ice House ― Carlos Cueva, who may actually know more people in town than I do…and that’s saying a lot,” Rishel says. The chef is now sporting a TCU Purple mohawk in honor of the new ice house. Moon Bar owner Chris Maunder has chosen not to comment further, but he confirms his exit from the building and even hints that The Moon might rise again someday in another location. The Parker County Ice House, located at 210 Willow Bend Cir. In Willow Park, has closed, a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram noted Tuesday.

The restaurant group is leaving the door open to the idea of finding another home for Berry Street Ice House or a similar concept, Trident’s Kyle Bryson tells PaperCity Fort Worth. When all is said and done, Trident will have space to sell. The restaurant group just hired Misty Vento as its director of sales to do just that. With intimate spaces (both speakeasies) and larger outdoor venues (both ice houses), Trident hopes to build a private events hosting business as well.

Misty Vento, Trident's Director of Sales & Marketing, says the closures were unexpected. “It’s a heartbreaking time for us as employees,” she says. “We’re losing the connections we have formed with our valued customers and colleagues.” Neither Rishel nor Trident partner Kyle Bryson would comment on the closures. This new ice house will also feature “live music, local produce and a prominently local beer selection as well as elevated bar food,” Rishel promises.
Location and Contact
Parker County Ice House’s menu will include chicken-fried chicken, doused in black pepper cream gravy, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. But the ground floor of the newly reconfigured First on Seventh development, which already has Neighbor’s House Grocery and Buon Giorno Coffee, will add a new Italian restaurant. It comes from Grace and Little Red Wasp owner Adam Jones and his executive chef Blaine Staniford. Currently operating out of an open air location with bomber smokers and Smokestream (a shiny, customized Airstream food trailer) nearby Wishbone & Flynt just off South Main, Brix is now going brick and mortar. Trident Restaurant Group’s one-off Berry Street Ice House is closing at 2000 W.
The two have been pondering an Italian spot for a while according to Celestina Blok, who first reported the news for CultureMap Fort Worth. There will be an Sunday supper component, which will be served family style, and the menu will feature plenty of upscale pastas, along with fish and meat dishes. 61 Osteria will give the accomplished chef a new palette to paint from when it opens in spring of 2022.
This restaurant space that has seen an astounding turnover in recent years, going from its inaugural tenant Americado to the short-lived The Moon and now the ending of Berry Street Ice House. “It will have the same feel of Berry St. as well, but with a much larger footprint,” Bryson notes. “When complete, it will have 4,500 square feet indoors and over 15,000 square feet outdoors (around 20,000 overall) ― with plenty of room for a concert stage and greenroom.
But the coronavirus sent all the students unexpectedly packing for months and effectively took out The Moon’s resident eatery Birdie Bop, the Korean fried chicken joint from Josh Harmon. The bar, music venue and restaurant never even attained orbit. Parker County Ice House is a spinoff of a similar — and similarly named — concept, Berry St. Ice House. Opened last summer in the old Americado building on West Berry Street, it, too, offered a family-friendly food and drink experience, with upscale bar food, craft cocktails, and a huge outdoor area.
